In Vietnamese life, culture is not only present in customs and traditions, but also reflected through symbols that have quietly accompanied generations.  Some have become deeply familiar, while others remain lesser known, tucked away in another corner of Vietnamese culture.

Ông Địa, Stone dog, Nghê… each of these traditional Vietnamese symbols carries its own story, reflecting the wishes and beliefs that people in the past held close to their hearts: a place to feel protected, a peaceful life, and a home filled with abundance. Across generations, these figures have continued to carry a part of the “soul” of Vietnamese folklore, woven from the beliefs and hopes of everyday people.

As Shimmer reaches its 13th anniversary, we want to return to these familiar cultural roots. Rather than simply recreating what already exists, we choose to look beyond the forms themselves to discover the spirit and meaning behind each traditional symbol, then reinterpret it through our own design language.

𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐔𝐏𝐎𝐍 𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐊𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐄 is created in silver and jade. Silver is a material that has accompanied Shimmer since the very beginning. Alongside it is jade, a material long associated with wishes for peace and all that is good.

We hope each design in this collection becomes more than just a piece of jewelry. Within every piece, we want to preserve fragments of Vietnamese folklore, stories, and beliefs. When worn, it is not simply a shimmering accent to your look, but also a small piece of Vietnam’s distinctive cultural spirit carried with you.
